Session X: Multidisciplinary Approaches to Managing Patients With Lower Extremity Pain
Moderators: David Allie and Kerry Zang
Lower extremity pain is a common symptom often requiring complex differential diagnostic workup. Vascular presentation with typical leg and ankle pulse deficiencies may be no challenge, but he addition of diabetic neuropathy or lumbrosacral disc disease can create an entirely different scenario. Best proactive outcomes depend on a well-coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to both diagnosis and therapy.
This session is designed to meet the needs of healthcare professionals in the areas of family practice, internal medicine, neurology, endocrinology, podiatry, cardiology, vascular and endovascular medicine, wound care, and related fields.
During this interactive session, a multidisciplinary panel of experts will present outside-the-box
approaches which physicians can apply to their practices.
Interdisciplinary Approach to Lower Extremity Pain
Role of Podiatry in Assessing Lower Extremity Pain
Neurogenic Claudication
Large Fiber Neurogenic Pain in Relationship to Vascular Pain
Small Fiber Neuropathic Pain: Vascular or Neurologic Diagnosis?
Emerging Role of Microcirculatory Function Assessment: Podiatry Perspective
Emerging Role of Microcirculatory Function Assessment: Cardiovascular Perspective
